Service Scope

Bing Webmaster Tools Setup & Optimization is a fixed-scope service designed to configure, review, and organize Bing Webmaster Tools for one existing website.

The service covers one primary website and the Bing Webmaster Tools property required to monitor that website.

The objective is to establish reliable access to Bing search performance, crawling, indexing, technical SEO, and site diagnostic information so the business can better understand how its website is being discovered and processed within Bing.

Webmaster Tools Property Setup

We create or review the appropriate Bing Webmaster Tools property for the client’s website.

Setup may include:

• Website property creation
• Existing property review
• Website URL consistency
• HTTPS configuration observations
• WWW or non-WWW observations
• Duplicate property review
• Existing account configuration
• Property ownership confirmation

We identify and submit the appropriate XML sitemap through Bing Webmaster Tools.

Bing Webmaster Tools provides a dedicated Sitemaps report for submitting and monitoring website sitemaps.

This service includes Webmaster Tools sitemap configuration but does not include rebuilding advanced custom sitemap systems.

Search Performance Configuration

We review the Search Performance reporting environment so the client can understand how the website is performing within Bing organic search.

Available analysis may include:

Bing currently provides Search Performance reporting across pages and keywords with up to 16 months of available historical data.

This is an initial Bing Webmaster Tools review and does not replace a complete keyword research engagement.

URL Inspection Review

Priority website URLs may be reviewed through Bing’s URL Inspection functionality.

IndexNow allows participating search engines to be notified when URLs are added, updated, or deleted. Bing currently supports IndexNow directly and documents CMS, plugin, and direct implementation approaches.

Site Explorer Review

We review the website’s robots.txt configuration in relation to Bing crawling.

Client Requirements

The client must provide access to the website and the account that will own or manage the Bing Webmaster Tools property.
