BREVO CONTACT HYGIENE

Create a Cleaner, Safer Sending Audience

Turn an unstructured Brevo database into a more usable email audience by identifying inactive and restricted contacts, preserving contact history, and applying a documented cleanup structure.

Service Scope

Brevo Contact Cleanup & Blocklist Management is a fixed-scope Brevo email marketing service for one business, one Brevo account, and up to 10,000 existing email contacts.

The service reviews the visible structure and status of the client’s existing contacts, creates reusable hygiene segments, and completes one client-approved campaign blocklist action. Contacts are preserved unless a separate deletion instruction is explicitly approved outside this service.

The objective is to reduce avoidable sending risk and make future list maintenance easier while respecting existing unsubscribe, blocklist, and platform status records.

Review Contact Structure and Status

We review the selected database for visible list organization, segments, contact attributes, subscription status, campaign blocklist status, and obvious structural inconsistencies.

  • Active and inactive email contacts
  • Unsubscribed and campaign-blocklisted contacts
  • Existing lists and reusable segments
  • Visible engagement and import-source information
  • Duplicate-looking records that require client review

Build Contact-Hygiene Segments

We configure up to five reusable segments using data available in the account. Segment rules are documented so the client can understand and reuse them after handoff.

  • Recently engaged contacts
  • Long-term inactive contacts
  • Never-engaged contacts when the required history exists
  • Contacts already restricted from email campaigns
  • Records requiring manual client review

Complete the Approved Blocklist Action

Before any status change, we create one pre-action export and present the proposed target segment for approval. After written approval, we complete one bulk campaign blocklist action and review the visible result.

We do not re-subscribe, unblock, or override a contact’s existing marketing preference.

Testing and Validation

After the approved cleanup action is processed, we confirm that the selected hygiene segments and visible email campaign statuses match the documented plan.

  • Segment counts reviewed
  • Approved blocklist action checked
  • Existing unsubscribe records preserved
  • Visible exceptions documented

Implementation Summary

At handoff, the client receives a concise implementation summary covering the completed work and any visible platform limitations or unresolved third-party dependencies.

  • Database and contact volume reviewed
  • Hygiene rules used
  • Segments created
  • Blocklist action completed
  • Visible exceptions and recommended next steps

Client Requirements

Before work begins, the client must provide the following access, information, and approvals:

  • Brevo administrator access
  • The required website, store, DNS, or source-platform access for the approved scope
  • Final brand assets, business information, and implementation instructions
  • Timely review and approval of proposed settings and test results
  • Written confirmation of the inactivity criteria
  • Written approval before the bulk campaign blocklist action

Delivery and Revisions

Standard delivery is 5–7 business days after all required access, rules, and approvals are received. Large account reports or delayed client approval may extend completion.

One consolidated correction round is included when submitted within seven days of delivery and remains within the approved scope. New content, a replacement brief, additional assets, or a materially different configuration is treated as separate work.

Important Scope Boundaries

The following items are not included in this service:

  • Contact deletion
  • Re-subscribing or unblocklisting contacts
  • Third-party email verification
  • Data enrichment or manual contact research
  • Consent collection or legal compliance review
  • Blacklist removal or sender-reputation repair
  • Ongoing audience maintenance
  • Guaranteed deliverability, inbox placement, engagement, or revenue
