Service Scope
Google Search Console Setup & Optimization is a fixed-scope service designed to configure, review, and organize Google Search Console for one existing website.
The service covers one primary website and the Search Console properties required to properly monitor that website within the available Google configuration.
The objective is to establish reliable access to Google’s search performance, indexing, crawl, and technical reporting so the business can better understand how its website appears and performs in organic search.
Search Console Property Setup
We create or review the appropriate Google Search Console property for the client’s website.
Setup may include:
- Domain property configuration
- URL-prefix property configuration where appropriate
- Existing property review
- Property duplication observations
- Preferred property structure
- Website URL consistency
- HTTPS version review
- WWW or non-WWW observations
The appropriate property configuration depends on the client’s domain setup, website architecture, and available verification access.
Website Ownership Verification
Google Search Console requires website ownership or authorized access before complete data and administrative controls become available.
We assist with the appropriate verification method based on the client’s website configuration.
Verification may involve:
- DNS verification
- HTML file verification
- HTML tag verification
- Existing Google-based verification methods
- Other supported verification options
DNS access may be required when configuring a domain-level property.
The client must provide the necessary administrative access or complete verification actions that require direct account ownership.
XML Sitemap Submission
We review the website’s available XML sitemap and submit the appropriate sitemap through Google Search Console.
Work may include:
- Sitemap URL identification
- Sitemap accessibility review
- Sitemap submission
- Sitemap status review
- Invalid sitemap observations
- Duplicate sitemap observations
- Indexed URL observations
- Sitemap processing checks
This service includes Search Console sitemap configuration but does not include rebuilding complex custom sitemap systems.
Page Indexing Review
We review Google Search Console indexing information to identify major issues affecting the website’s pages.
The review may include:
- Indexed pages
- Non-indexed pages
- Crawled pages
- Discovered pages
- Excluded URLs
- Redirected URLs
- Duplicate pages
- Canonical observations
- Noindex observations
- Not-found URLs
- Server-related indexing issues
The purpose is to identify major indexing conditions and determine whether Search Console is receiving and processing the website correctly.
URL Inspection Review
Priority URLs may be reviewed using Google Search Console’s URL inspection functionality.
The review may include:
- Google index status
- Crawling information
- Canonical information
- Indexing eligibility
- Sitemap discovery
- Referring page observations
- Last crawl information
- Mobile indexing observations
- Page availability
Where appropriate, indexing requests may be submitted for a limited number of important eligible URLs.
Submitting an indexing request does not guarantee that Google will crawl or index a page.
Search Performance Configuration
We review the Search Console performance reporting environment so the client can understand how the website is appearing in Google Search.
Performance data may include:
- Search clicks
- Search impressions
- Click-through rate
- Average position
- Search queries
- Ranking pages
- Countries
- Devices
- Search appearance
- Date-based performance
Where sufficient historical data exists, major performance trends and notable opportunities may also be identified.
Search Query Review
We review available search query data to understand which searches are currently generating impressions or clicks for the website.
The review may identify:
- High-impression queries
- High-click queries
- Low-click opportunities
- Existing branded searches
- Non-branded searches
- Commercial queries
- Informational queries
- Unexpected search visibility
- Pages receiving search impressions
This is an initial Search Console data review and not a complete keyword research engagement.
Page Performance Review
We review which pages currently receive organic search visibility through Google Search Console.
The review may identify:
- High-performing pages
- High-impression pages
- Pages generating clicks
- Pages with low click-through rates
- Pages with declining visibility
- Pages gaining visibility
- Important pages with limited search exposure
Findings may be used to recommend future SEO optimization opportunities.
Core Web Vitals Review
Where Google Search Console provides sufficient data, we review Core Web Vitals reporting for major page-experience observations.
The review may include:
- Mobile page groups
- Desktop page groups
- Poor URL observations
- Improvement-needed observations
- Good URL observations
- Relevant performance issue groups
This service includes Search Console review and reporting.
Advanced website performance engineering, custom development, theme redevelopment, and server optimization are not included.
Search Enhancements Review
Where applicable, we review Search Console enhancement or structured data reporting available for the website.
This may include applicable reports related to:
- Structured data
- Products
- Breadcrumbs
- Videos
- Other supported search enhancements
Errors or warnings identified within Search Console may be documented for future correction.
Schema implementation or advanced structured data repair is not included unless purchased separately.
Manual Actions Review
We review the Search Console Manual Actions section for any reported actions that may affect the website’s search visibility.
If a manual action is present, we identify the reported issue and provide recommendations for the next steps.
Removal of complex manual penalties, reconsideration projects, backlink cleanup, or extensive remediation work is not included in this service.
Security Issues Review
We review the Search Console security reporting section for major security warnings identified by Google.
Potential issues may include observations related to:
- Hacked content
- Malicious pages
- Harmful downloads
- Other Google-reported security concerns
If a significant security issue is identified, it is documented for the client.
Malware removal, server security remediation, website recovery, and cybersecurity services are outside the scope of this product.
Links Report Review
We review available internal and external link information reported within Google Search Console.
The review may include:
- Top internally linked pages
- Top externally linked pages
- External linking sites
- Common anchor text observations
- Internal linking patterns
The report is used for general SEO observations and does not constitute a complete backlink audit.
User & Permission Review
We review Search Console access and user permissions to help maintain appropriate administrative control.
This may include:
- Owner access
- User access
- Permission level review
- Legacy access observations
- Unnecessary user identification
- Recommended access structure
Access changes are only made with appropriate client authorization.
Search Console Configuration Review
We review the primary Search Console settings available for the website to confirm that the property is functioning as expected.
The review may include:
- Property ownership
- Verification status
- Submitted sitemaps
- User permissions
- Indexing information
- Search performance availability
- Page experience reporting
- Security reporting
- Manual action status
- Other relevant account settings
The goal is to leave the Search Console property organized and ready for ongoing SEO monitoring.
