Control Who Counts as a Marketing Contact
Service Scope
HubSpot Marketing Contacts Setup & Optimization is a fixed-scope HubSpot Email Marketing service for one business, one HubSpot Marketing Hub account, and up to 10,000 existing contacts.
The service covers the approved quantities and configuration described below in one HubSpot account. Work outside those quantities is quoted separately.
The objective is to deliver a practical, documented configuration that the client can understand, approve, and continue using after handoff.
Review Marketing Contact Usage
We review current marketing-contact status, contact sources, default status behavior, the active contact tier, and the business rules for deciding which records should be marketable through HubSpot.
- Current marketing versus non-marketing contacts
- Contact source and creation method
- Contact-tier usage
- Default status behavior for supported tools
- Contacts requiring client review
Configure a Practical Marketing Contact Structure
We create up to five segments for marketing-contact management, document recommended status rules, and complete one client-approved bulk status action where HubSpot permits it.
- Up to 5 marketing-contact management segments
- Source-based status review
- Lifecycle or engagement criteria review
- One approved bulk status action
- Marketing-contact usage recommendations
Testing and Validation
We verify the visible status results and document any scheduled non-marketing changes, plan limits, or contacts that remain billable until HubSpot's next applicable update date.
- Approved quantities and settings
- Names, properties, fields, and mapping logic
- Visible HubSpot status and permissions
- Representative test result
- Exceptions requiring client action
Implementation Summary
At handoff, the client receives a concise implementation summary covering the completed work, the configuration visible in HubSpot, and any unresolved platform or third-party dependency.

Delivery and Revisions
Standard delivery is 5–7 business days after all required access, content, data, and approvals are received. Platform processing, DNS propagation, app review, or other third-party delays may extend completion.
One consolidated correction round is included when submitted within seven days of delivery and remains within the approved scope. New content, replacement data, additional assets, or a materially different configuration is treated as separate work.
