KLAVIYO POST-PURCHASE AUTOMATION

Build a Stronger Relationship After Every Order

We create a structured Klaviyo follow-up journey that begins after a recorded purchase, delivers relevant customer communications over time, and sends an honest review request through one approved review destination.

Service Scope

Klaviyo Post-Purchase & Review Request Flow Setup is a fixed-scope automation service for one business, one Klaviyo account, one connected e-commerce store, and one coordinated post-purchase customer journey.

The service includes:

  • One Placed Order-triggered post-purchase flow
  • One Klaviyo Reviews request flow or one approved external review-request path
  • Up to four automated emails across the selected configuration
  • Order-based filters and timing
  • Limited conditional logic
  • Dynamic order or purchased-product content
  • Controlled testing
  • Written-approval activation
  • Implementation handoff

The service is intended for marketing and customer-relationship follow-up. It does not replace the transactional order, payment, fulfillment, or shipping notifications sent by the store.

Select the Review Request Configuration

The service supports one of two review-request configurations.

Klaviyo Reviews Configuration

If Klaviyo Reviews is already installed, active, and producing the required events, we can configure a separate review request flow using the Klaviyo Reviews Ready to Review event.

This event is generated according to the fulfillment, delivery, and timing settings available through Klaviyo Reviews.

External Review Destination Configuration

If the client uses another review destination, one review-request email can be incorporated into the post-purchase journey using an approved delay and a client-provided review link.

The destination may be:

  • An existing product-review platform
  • A product review page
  • A store review page
  • Google Business Profile
  • Another approved public or private feedback page

Only one configuration and one primary review destination are included.

Review the Store Integration

We review one existing e-commerce connection and confirm whether Klaviyo is receiving the events required for the approved flow.

The review may cover:

  • Placed Order
  • Ordered Product
  • Fulfilled Order
  • Delivered Shipment
  • Refunded Order
  • Canceled Order
  • Ready to Review
  • Review Submitted
  • Available order and product properties

The exact metrics depend on the connected platform, Klaviyo plan, installed applications, and store configuration.

Integration installation, connection repair, custom events, API development, and catalog reconstruction are not included.

Validate the Order Data

We confirm that recent order events contain sufficient information for the selected flow.

Available data may include:

  • Order number
  • Order date
  • Order value
  • Customer information
  • Purchased products
  • Product images
  • Product names
  • Product quantities
  • Product prices
  • Product URLs
  • Fulfillment information

Dynamic content can use only the properties actually received and stored in the client’s Klaviyo account.

Separate Marketing From Transactional Messages

This service does not replace required store notifications such as:

  • Order confirmation
  • Payment confirmation
  • Shipping confirmation
  • Delivery notification
  • Refund confirmation
  • Cancellation notice
  • Other required transactional communication

The included emails are designed for post-purchase relationship building, product education, customer support, cross-selling, replenishment guidance, or review collection.

Transactional messages have different content and platform requirements and require a separate service.

Configure the Post-Purchase Trigger

We configure one post-purchase flow using Placed Order as the primary trigger.

The trigger begins the journey after Klaviyo records a qualifying purchase from the connected store.

Where appropriate, the flow can use supported order properties to limit eligibility according to the approved scope.

Separate triggers for Fulfilled Order, Delivered Shipment, Ordered Product, or custom events require an expanded service unless they are used through the selected Klaviyo Reviews configuration.

Configure Order and Customer Filters

We configure standard filters needed for the approved post-purchase journey.

Filters may address:

  • Marketing eligibility
  • Order status
  • Refund status
  • Cancellation status
  • Product eligibility
  • Customer type
  • Order value
  • Purchase frequency
  • Another available order or profile property

The required data must already be available and reliable inside Klaviyo.

The behavior of filters depends on the timing and accuracy of data received from the connected store.

Build the Automation Architecture

The service includes up to 14 total components after the included trigger or triggers.

The components may consist of:

  • Up to four email actions
  • Up to four time delays
  • Up to two conditional splits
  • Up to three supported profile or list actions
  • One additional approved standard component

The exact combination is based on the approved customer journey and cannot exceed 14 post-trigger components across the selected setup.

Configure the First Post-Purchase Email

The first email may be configured shortly after Klaviyo records the order.

This message may:

  • Thank the customer
  • Reinforce the brand relationship
  • Explain what to expect next
  • Provide customer-support information
  • Link to helpful store resources
  • Introduce product-use or care information
  • Present another approved non-transactional message

This message does not serve as the customer’s official order confirmation or receipt.

Configure the Second Post-Purchase Email

The second email may be placed after an approved delay.

This message may:

  • Provide product-use instructions
  • Share care or maintenance guidance
  • Explain how to receive support
  • Highlight helpful educational content
  • Introduce the brand community
  • Answer common post-purchase questions
  • Provide another approved customer resource

The client must supply accurate product instructions, policies, and support information.

Configure the Third Post-Purchase Email

The optional third post-purchase email may be used for:

  • A client-selected related product
  • A replenishment reminder
  • A customer-support check-in
  • A community or loyalty invitation
  • A product-specific educational follow-up
  • A review-request preparation message
  • Another approved post-purchase objective

Dynamic predictive cross-selling and product-feed development are not included.

Any related products must be selected by the client or already available through a functioning approved content block.

Configure the Review Request Email

The review request email is configured after the approved order, fulfillment, delivery, or fixed-delay condition.

The message may include:

  • Purchased product information
  • Product image
  • Direct review link
  • Clear request for honest feedback
  • Customer-support information
  • Appropriate review instructions
  • Client-provided incentive details
  • Required disclosure language

The request must not state or imply that only positive feedback is wanted.

Configure Review Request Timing

Review timing is selected according to the product, fulfillment process, delivery expectations, and available review-platform functionality.

The timing should allow the customer a reasonable opportunity to receive and use the product before being asked for feedback.

When Klaviyo Reviews is used, the request timing is configured through its review-request settings and the Ready to Review event.

For an external review destination, one approved fixed delay is used based on client instructions.

Real-time carrier delivery verification and custom shipping-data development are not included.

Configure One Review Destination

We configure the email to direct customers to one approved review destination.

The client must provide the working review URL or an active Klaviyo Reviews setup.

The service does not include:

  • Creating a review-platform account
  • Installing Klaviyo Reviews
  • Migrating historical reviews
  • Building a review website
  • Creating Google Business Profile
  • Configuring multiple review destinations
  • Repairing third-party review integrations

Request Honest Customer Feedback

The review message is structured to request honest feedback from eligible customers.

The automation will not intentionally:

  • Ask only satisfied customers to leave a public review
  • Redirect unhappy customers away from the review option
  • Require a positive rating
  • Preselect a favorable rating
  • Hide the public review link based on sentiment
  • Create fake or employee-submitted reviews

A private customer-support link may be included, but it does not replace or restrict access to the approved review destination.

Configure a Client-Provided Review Incentive

A client-provided incentive may be referenced when permitted by the selected review platform and applicable rules.

The client must provide:

  • Incentive value
  • Eligibility terms
  • Expiration information
  • Redemption method
  • Required disclosures
  • Reward-delivery instructions

If an incentive is offered for submitting a review, it must not depend on the review being positive.

Creating unique reward codes, automatically distributing rewards, building a Review Submitted follow-up flow, and administering incentive fulfillment are not included.

Configure Conditional Splits

The service includes up to two standard conditional splits.

Supported conditions may distinguish customers by:

  • First-time or repeat purchaser
  • Product or category purchased
  • Order value
  • Customer location
  • Subscription status
  • Available profile property
  • Another supported order property

The relevant data must already exist in Klaviyo.

Predictive logic, large product-specific path systems, and advanced cross-sell modeling are not included.

Configure Dynamic Order Content

We configure available event variables or supported dynamic blocks to display relevant order or product information.

Depending on the event data, this may include:

  • Product image
  • Product name
  • Product price
  • Quantity
  • Product URL
  • Order value
  • Another approved order property

Custom event schemas, broken product data, unsupported variables, and API data repair are not included.

Configure Profile or List Actions

The service includes up to three standard profile-property or list update actions when required by the approved journey.

These may include:

  • Updating one approved profile property
  • Adding an eligible profile to one approved list
  • Removing a profile from one approved list
  • Applying another supported Klaviyo action

External CRM updates, webhooks, custom API calls, and cross-platform automation are not included.

Assemble the Email Content

We place final client-provided content into one existing template or standard Klaviyo layout for each included email.

The service includes up to 16 client-provided supporting images across the complete setup.

Email assembly may include:

  • Headlines
  • Body copy
  • Dynamic order or product section
  • Buttons
  • Review link
  • Supporting images
  • Product instructions
  • Social proof
  • Customer-support information
  • Footer elements

Copywriting, custom template design, photography, illustration, and advanced image editing are not included.

Configure Subject Lines and Preview Text

We configure one approved subject line and one preview-text version for each included email.

The service therefore includes up to:

  • Four subject lines
  • Four preview-text versions

Alternative subject-line packages and A/B testing are not included.

Configure Sender and Tracking Settings

We configure or review the approved:

  • Sender name
  • Sender email address
  • Reply-to address
  • Basic personalization
  • Standard open tracking
  • Standard click tracking
  • UTM tracking
  • Smart Sending settings
  • Unsubscribe functionality

Sending-domain authentication, DNS changes, attribution consulting, and Google Analytics configuration are not included.

Preview and Test the Emails

Each included email is previewed using available profile, order, product, or review-event data.

The review covers:

  • Triggered event data
  • Dynamic product information
  • Review link
  • Subject line
  • Preview text
  • Sender information
  • Images
  • Buttons
  • Personalization fallback
  • Footer content
  • Desktop presentation
  • Mobile presentation

Test messages are delivered to up to three client-provided inboxes.

Complete a Controlled Order-Event Test

We complete one controlled test using a recent eligible order event or a client-authorized test order.

The test may include:

  • Confirming the order event
  • Reviewing flow eligibility
  • Reviewing conditional paths
  • Previewing dynamic order data
  • Testing the review destination
  • Confirming expected time-delay behavior
  • Reviewing message status

KizilCo does not independently place a paid order without the client’s authorization.

Store, integration, fulfillment, or event-data failures require separate technical work.

Complete the Pre-Activation Review

Before activation, we review:

  • Post-purchase trigger
  • Review-request trigger or path
  • Order and customer filters
  • Time delays
  • Conditional splits
  • Dynamic content
  • Review destination
  • Review language
  • Incentive disclosure, if applicable
  • Sender information
  • Tracking settings
  • Test results

The automation remains in draft or manual status until the client provides written approval.

Activate After Written Approval

After written approval, the included messages and flow components are changed to the appropriate live status.

Activation applies only to the approved structure, triggers, timing, messages, and review destination.

Historical-order enrollment and collection of reviews from past purchases are not included.

Implementation Handoff

The client receives a concise implementation summary identifying:

  • Store and metrics reviewed
  • Flow configuration selected
  • Triggers and filters applied
  • Emails created
  • Time delays and splits configured
  • Review destination used
  • Testing completed
  • Activation status
  • Known data or platform limitations
  • Practical maintenance recommendations

The Klaviyo account, store data, completed automation, reviews, and supplied business assets remain owned and controlled by the client.

Client Requirements

Before work begins, the client must provide:

  • Klaviyo administrator access
  • Appropriate store access when required
  • One functioning e-commerce integration
  • Working order and fulfillment data
  • An active Klaviyo Reviews installation or one external review destination

Two consolidated revision rounds are included when submitted within seven days of the corresponding delivery and remain within the approved structure and original quantities.
