Turn customer data into a shared operating system.
Start with one customer lifecycle, not a collection of clouds
A Customer 360 program works when sales, service and marketing agree on how a person becomes known, qualified, supported and retained. We begin by mapping one approved lifecycle for one business model: the moments that matter, the records created at each moment, the teams that own the next action and the information that must travel with the customer.
Establish a shared customer foundation
The included configuration aligns the core Salesforce record structure around the approved customer journey, using the relevant standard CRM records for leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, cases, campaigns, activities and supported related information. We define the fields, statuses, relationships and visibility assumptions needed for the included use case, so the same customer facts are interpreted consistently across teams. It is a controlled foundation, not an enterprise-wide data-model redesign.
Design identity and data context with purpose
Customer identity is more than matching an email address. We document approved identifiers, source-of-truth decisions, duplicate-handling expectations and relationship rules that let teams understand who the customer is and what they have already experienced. Where the client has active Data 360 capabilities, the implementation can align authorized existing CRM and Data 360 data assets with the chosen customer view. Full external ingestion, identity-resolution engineering and large-scale harmonization are separate work.
Keep sales context moving forward
Sales should not restart a conversation that marketing has already qualified or service has already informed. One approved lead and opportunity model creates a clear path from initial interest to accountable commercial activity, with agreed stages, ownership, required information and handoff signals. Focused Lightning workspace refinements make the essential customer, campaign, opportunity and activity context easier for the sales team to use.
Make service part of the same customer story
Customer service is designed as a connected part of the lifecycle rather than a separate case queue. One approved case process, ownership approach and escalation path connect relevant customer, sales and campaign context to the service team where supported by the client’s Salesforce configuration. This helps agents understand the relationship around the request and helps commercial teams see when service activity matters to a customer outcome. Broader Service Cloud transformation remains separate.
Connect marketing to meaningful lifecycle moments
Marketing is aligned to the approved lifecycle through one coordinated campaign, audience, status and handoff structure supported by the client’s active Marketing Cloud and Salesforce capabilities. The configuration can establish the data and business signals needed to recognize a qualified response, an inactive opportunity, a service-driven follow-up need or another agreed moment. Campaign production, content and channel operations remain client-controlled or separately scoped.
Define how teams hand work to one another
A unified customer view only matters when people know what to do with it. The system documents the approved triggers for ownership changes, sales follow-up, service escalation, marketing suppression or re-engagement, and leadership review. Native assignment, queue, notification and status patterns are configured around those decisions, so a record has a visible next owner and next action.
Automate approved next steps, with controls
Included native Salesforce Flows automate the repeatable actions in the approved operating model, such as record updates, task creation, internal notifications, status synchronization, routing or agreed follow-up prompts. Each automation is limited to a defined business outcome, access assumption and test scenario. Complex cross-cloud orchestration, external API integrations, custom Apex and autonomous AI decisions require separate discovery.
Give access according to responsibility
Basic access configuration is aligned with the customer lifecycle so approved internal users see the records, actions and reporting relevant to their role. The included role hierarchy, permission sets or permission-set groups and selected sharing controls support the agreed sales, service, marketing and leadership responsibilities without treating broad access as a substitute for governance. The client approves final access policy, user assignments and security decisions. Complex external sharing, SSO, delegated administration, multi-entity security architecture and full security remediation remain separate engagements.
Turn customer activity into leadership visibility
Focused reports and Customer 360 dashboards give leaders one practical view of the lifecycle rather than a separate scorecard for every team. The included reporting can connect approved measures such as lead response, opportunity movement, campaign influence, open service demand, customer ownership, handoff performance and lifecycle trends where the underlying records and active Salesforce features support them. Dashboards make gaps visible, but they do not correct weak data by themselves. Data governance, owner accountability and the agreed operating model keep the numbers meaningful.
Test the journey across every included handoff
Before launch, the solution is validated against agreed scenarios that follow a customer from initial engagement through sales, service, marketing response and management reporting. Testing checks record creation, data visibility, ownership, required information, automation outcomes, handoff notifications, permitted user actions and dashboard results. This is how the team confirms that a technically valid configuration also works as an operating system. One fixed-scope correction round addresses agreed issues found within the approved requirements, while new use cases or late process changes are planned separately.
Launch a model your administrators can govern
Configuration documentation, administrator handoff sessions and launch support leave the client with a clear record of the included data foundation, lifecycle rules, automations, access assumptions, reports and known dependencies. The team can use this baseline to manage changes deliberately, onboard users and decide which future cloud, data or AI investments are justified. Salesforce licensing, Data 360 consumption, Marketing Cloud usage, storage, paid add-ons, third-party applications and external data costs are client-provided and separate. The outcome is not simply more Salesforce configuration; it is a governed foundation for one connected customer operation.
